Welcome

Thank you for visiting my web site. I am seeking the office of Judge of the 427th District Court to put my experience as a judge, attorney and community leader in the service of the citizens of Travis County.

In over 19 years as a judge I have striven to work as hard off the bench as I do on the bench. So while I’ve presided over more than 30,000 felony proceedings, I’ve also worked to keep young people from getting into the kind of trouble that would land them in my courtroom. And as a leader in the Bar, I’ve worked to ensure that the legal profession better serves the public.

The 427th District Court will try felony criminal proceedings. It was created by the Legislature in 2005, and came into being on January 1, 2007. The bench will initially be filled by gubernatorial appointment.  The voters of Travis County will ultimately choose their own judge in the 2008 elections, in which I will stand as a candidate.
